Styling of deadwood

Hello,

I have just recently created two deadwood branches on my juniper chinensis. Right now, I have them held into a position with just wiring (both structurally around the branch and another pulling them into position), however, I am worried that it won't be enough to hold them in position once I take off the wiring. Is there anything else I need to do to have those pieces of deadwood hold that position permanently?

Once the branch has died totally and dried up it will stay in place.

So, I don't need to apply any more heating or other techniques.

I have seen heating used to bend and style old deadwoods that would snap otherwise. The correct way to do it would be to bend a branch before making it into deadwood. The end result is the same. Once the branch has dried up, it will stay in place.
