Fukien Tea is dying, I think it is fungus!

I have had my Bonsai for 3 years and it has been pretty healthy. The last 5 months I have been dealing with what I believe is a fungus. I have treated it with fungicide weekly and even tried Neem oil several times. Nothing is helping it beat whatever is going on. I need help from someone who can help me cure this problem. Ive tried with tweezers removing the wood like growth from the tree but it does not come off easily. I’m afraid if I really work it over trying to remove the wood like growth I will kill it. It does have new growth but after a bit these new leaves die off. Help!

There are no one at this forum that know how to keep a fukien tree heathy long term. But there are 100s of threads about dieing fukiens. I am trying to solve the challenge, but my atempts is in an early phase.

If you have tried fungicide and it does not help it is not fungus. I cannot help to think that wood like growth may be just wood? Do you mind sharing a picture?

Are you in a cold spell right now colder than usual in your area?

I posted pictures but they may not have attached. Will try again. It’s not a cold spell issue because it started in the middle of summer. The problem is at all of the joints on the tree.

The hard woodlike knobs is fukiens natural growth and should not be removed.

The fluffy thing where the branches meet the trunk looks very interesting. Never seen it before and I have seen hundreds of dieing fukiens. How cool that there are growing healthy leafs right out of it! Cannot help to think it is some kind of arial root growth. In any case it don't look like it has any affect on the health of the tree.

Overall this tree looks quite healthy for a fukien that has been living indoors for 3 years in the middle of the winter. What is the temperature and humidity in the space it is growing?

Unfortunately no answer, but at least you are not alone

It is in the bathroom so humidity is good. The temperature is usually around 65 to 70. The leaves have black spots on them before they die and fall off. That is what led me too a fungus diagnosis. It is usually super lush and has tons of growth. Right now it has lost most of its leaves.
