Is it normal for a bonsai ficus to be fully dry the day after extensive watering? I had to water it again today (after probing to check it was fully dry) to make sure it didn't dry out too much and wilt. Just wondering if others have had the same experience. I recently moved it outside as temperatures here are currently 26 degrees and do not fall below 15 nights.

Is is impossible to answer. There are no such thing as a normal watering scedule. It all depends on several factors , environment, placement sun hours, season, soil mix, amount of soil, size of tree and a lot more.

However, most of us water every or every other day in summer. So it is at least not abnormal.
