Japanese juniper

I have a Japanese Juniper that sits on a table on my balcony. I've recently noticed that it's seems to be turning brown. I'm wondering if the rain has caused overwatering. I don't water the plant if the soil is wet but do spray it. Please let me know if it is overwatering or just a seasonal thing - I don't remember it going brown last year.

This is not a Japanese Juniper, it looks like a needle Juniper, if it is on a open balcony ok, but if it is enclosed that is what is wrong with it. Unlikely to be overwatered if the soil is free draining, You could put it under a table if you think it is too wet,

What do you mean, you do not water it when it is wet? On the picture it seems like the soil is bone dry. It should never go dry.

WHat is the weather where you are? Have you pruned, wired or repotted the tree recently?
